After enormous success in New York last June with Benjamin de Bouillis (2005), Foofwa d’Imobilité has been invited back to the Baryshnikov Arts Center to present this same solo to the audience of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) on Saturday, January 10, 2009. In June, New York audiences including dance legends Mikhaïl Baryshnikov and Merce Cunningham, were enthusiastic about the evening and were eager to see more from this young Swiss dancer. An important critic for the American dance scene, Alastair Macaulay, wrote about this occasion in the New York Times: « Foofwa remains the kind of performer to whom I tentatively apply the word "genius." 19 senior groups and the 20 best individual senior gymnasts from the last ECh as well as 114 individual junior gymnasts will compete in Turin. Yann Aubert will go with the Swiss National team.
* The European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) and Euritmica awarded Yann Aubert with a diploma for taking part as a coach of the Swiss National Team at the 24th European Championships for Rhythmic Gymnastics in Torino, Italy.

Yann Aubert recieved a diploma as a Swiss Olympic Coach for Gymnastics from the Swiss Olympic Association. He graduated with honors as #1 of his class because of his high scores and excellent oral, written and memory work. As first of his class, he was also asked to give a speech about the master class to the audience.
